When I go to record tablature with my Fishman Triple Play midi pickup into Progression 2, the displayed tablature does not reflect the strings on which I've played. For example, if I play an E4 on the 9th fret of the g-string, the fretboard visualizer will say I've played the open e string, and the created tablature will reflect that. Is there a way I can make sure that Progression 2 follows which string I'm playing on? If I had some way of making sure each string was coected to each individual MIDI chael of my pickup, I'm sure it would all work out! I have already tried this with the multi-chael box checked off in the recording options, but I have come up with the same problem.

Something that would be very helpful to speedup the editing process for us guys who do voiceovers would be the ability to playback at faster speeds (2x or 3x). That way, we could go through the material twice as fast. That is a feature that I miss from Sony Vegas.

Recorded drums on multiple chaels. All but one exported .wav file imported just fine. The one .wav file will not import and the error message says that file type is not supported. HELP!!

Recently I had to take my iMac in for repair at Apple and now that I've got it back I can't get my fire studio project to sync! I've reinstalled UC several times and the driver version stays at 00000. The fire studio is being recognized by my computer but the light on the device is red. I've sent in a support ticket but wanted to see if anyone could help me since it's after hours and I don't want to pay for Obedia.

We use RML32AI rack-mount mixer on the stage but the problem is that there is no compressor with sidechain whereas StudioLive Series III mixers have this amazing feature. Before we bought RML32AI mixer, we had watched and read that new features would be added in time. According to your videos, we have been waiting for this feature via new uptade. After we saw that StudioLive Series III mixers have this feature, we believe it is a significant feature that should be added on RML-series rack-mount mixers via new update.

I have been looking for a resource for sheet music in xml format but can't find anything for pop/rock music with a 4-5 part ensemble for popular songs. I would like to import an arrangement of strings, woodwinds, etc., as to build around an ensemble to export to Studio One and finish a production with new ideas. For example, an xml score with violin, cello, flute, piano, for the song Calling Occupants, by the Carpenters. The score will be edited in Notion with the different parts and sent to Studio One to continue building the production with other instruments. I have found some sites with a piano/guitar sheet music but no more than that or comprehensive. Thanks

I have read that control surfaces using Mackie protocol can only use 8 faders for volume.

To access the faders on the second bank or more in the DAW you always need to use a shift key and use the same 1 to 8 faders on the hardware. Therefore the 9 to 16 faders are redundant with respect to track volume.

They can be assigned for send Etc but you caot in effect use all 16 faders to control track volumes 1 to 16 at the same time. Can anyone confirm this as I am wanting to purchase the 16 faders version but if they are not fully working on 16 chaels at once it seems pointless to pay the extra.

I am initially wanting to use with Cubase 9.5

I use AudioBox 1818vsl as my interface with Studio One 3 on my Mac. Out of the box, set up worked fine for nearly a year. Brought the setup to band practice, was able to record my jam sessions with everyone getting their own inputs. The input volumes would record somewhere between -25 and -10 db, with the interface input volume knobs set to some where around -20db. The recordings were awesome. No issues.Now.....Seems randomly (I say randomly cause I don't usually tinker with settings, I'm a plug and play type of person) out of the blue, I can't get my input volumes any higher than -36db. I can tu the input vol. knobs on the interface all the way up to +50db, and input will limit at -36db. everytime, every session, on every input. Can't seem to figure out what changed or what is causing the input volume to be limited to -36db. This is causing problems for me being able to record quality music.Any thoughts? Hi, I'm also having difficulty getting my softsynths to play back (was able to a few days ago, though I'm new to SO3). Tried everything I could figure out, but it is not working for me. I have a Novation Impulse 49 (when will that appear on the list of supported controllers ?), and a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra interface. I am ruing Windows 10 Pro on an AMD FX-9370 build with 16GB of ram. PC crunching power is likely not an issue, as MIDI playback was working fine the other day.

Any enlightenment on the mapping/coections to fix this ? Thanks, Joe

The Input screen on the big display for a chael helpfully includes small bar graphs giving a rough idea of which Aux and Effects mixes a chael is in. But, if you mute that chael in the Aux or Effects mix, those little bar graphs don't change. I think it would be helpful if those bar graphs changed color (perhaps became black or red) to indicate that, while that chael is in the Aux or Effects mix in question, it is, in fact, muted in that mix.

For the longest I've been wanting a DAW to stack added tracks from bottom of the arrange window to the top. Just the concept of when you add on to something, the foundation is the bottom, and you build on top of it. If there could be an option to sort top to bottom (current arrange view), or bottom to top (requested arrange view) that would be great.

I already own a CS18ai an RM32ai and an RM16ai which I cascade using a MOTU AVB and have run quite successfully at a number of gigs recently.

All units are ruing the latest firmware.

I now have the opportunity to buy a second pre owned CS18ai at a very good price from a friend who is moving across to a new 32R, my plan being to position it to the side of the stage and use it as a monitor mix control surface, rather than using a MacBook Pro as I do currently, and to continue to use the other CS18ai as the FOH control surface . I'm wondering if there are any known issues with having a second CS18ai on the network, will there be contention over which of the units provides the audio feed for the talkback and line inputs will I be able to designate which RM unit is the master from either CS18 or from UC Surface without any problems? Any Idea gratefully received!

I want to purchase a Studio 1824 however I want to be clear about the features of the unit so I don't run into the same issue I am having with my current mini ********* umc22 Interface which is only acting as a monitor output because it has a pair of balanced main outputs ruing to my E5s.What I want to be certain of is whether or not I can listen to my computer audio through the headphone outs of the Studio 1824, which should be the case but I want to be 10000% certain. Also I want to know whether it is possible to only get audio from the headphone outs of the interface and mute the mains so that I don't have to switch off my E5s every time I want to switch to my headphones.The current little ********* umc22 interface only has one output volume knob and that controls the output for everything including headphones.*EDIT: I have found a workaround that I totally forgot about with stereo mix, however I sometimes use stereo mix to broadcast music through my teamspeak chael so I am still looking for the answer to my original question.

If I create songs with a tempo track that changes tempo and I record my song can I move the tempo track with the other clips?

I can press ctrl+A and select all timeline clips but it DOESN'T select the tempo track. I would obviously want this to move with the other tracks as the tempo relates to those recorded tracks. There doesn't appear to be any way to do this other than move all the audio tracks and then readjust each of the tempo changes in the tempo track to get it back in sync and even then I can't just move the whole tempo track, I have to move each tempo change individually from what i can see. This becomes increasingly difficult for songs that contain many tempo changes.

Am I missing something or should this go on the feature list for next release?

There are options to create tempo changes within a song using the tempo track and I can set project to various timings e.g. 1/4 or 4.4. I am wondering if it is possible to use the tempo track to add a tempo change AND a timing change...for example I would like to go from a 4-4 timing at 190bpm to 3-3 timing at 190 bpm and then another change to 4-4 timing at 150bpm.

Is this possible to do with the tempo track or should it be a feature in the next release?

Having a really difficult time getting my new CS18AI to cooperate in DAW mode. I am ruing it wirelessly because I have no AVB network. It's on the same wireless network as my computer ruing Studio One 3. There are some buttons and functionality that just don't work. For instance, 3rd party presets caot be edited by the CS18AI, only the Presonus ones. I caot find how to load a Preset using only the CS.......the load and save buttons have NEVER lit up or worked, even when trying to edit a section in the Fat Chael. The plugin parameter for Fat Chael do NOT show up graphically in my touch screen window, only the value shows in the right hand coer.

If I can't load a preset from CS, edit a non-Presonus preset from CS, or edit the Fat Chael, this puppy is going to get retued.

Our church uses OBS for Live Streaming. We get the audio from our StudioLive 32.4.2AI mixer by ruing a coection from the tape out ports to a BlackMagic Intensity Pro 4K capture card which OBS recognizes as an audio input source. However, we get a low humming sound on the recording, so we were advised to instead coect the sound from the mixing board via the 1/4 inch Main output ports ruing to a AudioBox USB 96 device into the computer. This way we use balanced XLR cable to shield the humming. But I can't figure out how to make that work with OBS. OBS doesn't recognize the AudioBox as an audio input source.

Can anyone help me with guidance?

i am importing samples (in wav. format from Splice) into "Impact" from my desktop. I understand how time stretching within a track works...like "follow" and "don't follow" but if i drop a file into "impact this method doesn't apply, how do I tu off the auto time stretch function when dropping a file from the desktop into a pad in "Impact"? Is it possible to use an iPad with UC Surface to display and edit the FAT-Chael of the on the CS18Ai selected chael, without selecting the chael in UCS - just by pressing the select-Button on the CS18Ai.

The CS18Ai is coected with a RM32Ai via etheet routed by an WiFi-Router without AVB-Switch.

Hello Studio One 3 Community, I noticed a couple issues ( bugs) with the new update of Studio One 3.5.5. I have noticed while recording a midi part in loop mode when you disengage the record button the first bar of the instrument is cut off. Now it is still recorded but you need to pull the edge of the midi block to access it which is a bit aoying instead of jumping right into another track. Which brings me to the other bug that when you arrow down or select another track while the song is playing in loop mode it cuts the playback of all other instruments playing until the chord or drum part moves on the next midi note. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing these problems as well. I did 2 fresh installs ( cleaned registry , deleted left over Presonus files in appdata file location ) but still the same problem. I went back to Studio One 3.5.4 and the problems have disappeared which leaves me to believe that it is something with the new update.OS - Windows 7 64bitIntel i5 2.90 Ghz Dual Core8GB Ram

I have read several articles and transposed them to the Studiolive 16R but I still caot get the routing to my headphone to work as it did with my 24.4.2 board. I reviewed the manual for 16R as well. I assume that I can route it via the firewire using UC surface and PC audio routing.

Sometimes I play a song and the master bus clip indicator says 666 and audio stops playing, and clicking it doesn't clear it. How do I fix this and/or find the cause of it?

What features does the Universal Control offer with an AudioBox iTwo on macOS? Is it worth installing? On these devices, is it just used for firmware updates or are there actual settings to play with?

I ask because I couldn't find a user's manual and I'd prefer not to pollute my OS with uecessary keel drivers when I can avoid it to keep things stable.

I just bought an Akai MPK mini vkII, and everything seems to be working fine except one thing.

Whenever i tu the pitch and mod joystick: the pitch works fine, but the mod seems to be adjusting the K1 knob instead, which means the mod wheel is rendered completely useless. How to i make studio one recognize the mod joystick as a seperate input and not the same input as the knob?
